Change: at our own pace

No Middle Eastern state excites the western media in quite the same way as Saudi Arabia. The country is fabulously rich with airports, office buildings and even shopping malls so opulent that those in London, Paris and New York pale into insignificance. Dubai, with its vast futuristic buildings, sumptuous hotels and international designer name shopping outlets, does not attract the same level of international interest given to the kingdom, even when it announces it is building two islands in the shape of palm trees on reclaimed land in the middle of the sea.
