ABSTRACT
Abstract: This letter presents and analyses a novel parasitic U‐slot patch array antenna, designed by combining the characteristic of U‐slot patch antenna and the characteristic of parasitically coupled antenna elements. Characteristic mode analysis is performed on the novel antenna to reveal the potential of the new radiating structure.
