TenFold Corp. in Salt Lake City, Utah has announced that its EnterpriseTenFold platform support the Linux operating system. The company has added an entirely open-source platform to its Certification Farm consisting of MySQL 4.0.16 on the database server and Red Hat Linux 9 on the applications server. Certification Farm is a distributed laboratory of many combinations in a myriad different ways. The company uses TenFold-powered application, TenFold ReleaseManager, to manage the laboratory and certify platform releases on various combinations of hardware and software. CEO Nancy Harvey said that the company is beginning to see requests from prospects and customers for Linux support as industry leaders emphasize the open-source operating system. The company's Certification Farm and TenFold ReleaseManager make it easy to support new hardware and software platform. Other software companies who port their products to various platforms would be astounded by how quickly and efficiently the company can support a new platform. Meanwhile, the company licenses its patented technology for applications development to organizations that face the daunting task of replacing obsolete applications or building complex application systems.
