Mouse puts 'W.I.T.C.H.' on shelves

Disney Publishing Worldwide will launch tween book series "W.I.T.C.H.," based on its international comic-book series. In 2001, "W.I.T.C.H" originated as a comicbook in the Italian office of Disney Publishing Worldwide. The comic is published in 27 languages, with a monthly circulation of 1 million copies. Nine American books will be published by Hyperion Books for Children imprint, with the first on sale April 1, 2004. "W.I.T.C.H" animated skein will bow in February 2005 on Toon Disney and American Broadcasting Co. Family as part of Jetix action programming block.
