Global lights Bosnian 'Fuse'

The Global Film Initiative has picked up U.S. theatrical rights to Bosnian director Pjer Zalica's political tragicomedy "Fuse." Film will unspool as part of the New Directors/New Films fest lineup in New York. Story takes place two years after the official end of the civil war in a Bosnian town still struggling to restore order. Initiative's mission is to support filmmaking in the developing world and foster cross-cultural understanding through cinema. In 2003, it acquired 11 titles and offered grants to 12 other films.
