ABSTRACT
Kicking off with a New York-set romantic comedy for the second consecutive year, the Tribeca Film Festival will open on May 1, 2004 with Kate Hudson starrer film "Raising Helen," from helmer Garry Marshall. Jane Rosenthal, who co-founded the festival with Robert De Niro and Craig Hatkoff, said the pic's Gotham setting was a prime factor in its selection. Last year's festival kicked off with Fox's film "Down With Love," as of March 23, 2004. Rosenthal said, "It is a movie that is uplifting and funny, involves New York and was partially filmed in New York. It will be a great start to a great third year."
