Spectators in Madrid, Spain, entering the opening-night screening of Pedro Almodovar's movie "Bad Education" were pelted by coins and eggs as a group of some 50 right-wing radicals staged a street protest outside Madrid's Palacio de la Musica cinema. Demonstrators attempted to stop cinemagoers from entering the cinema. Their violence stoked support for Almodovar, whose director credit drew applause from the audience and shouts of "long live freedom of speech." Attendees again were taunted when they emerged from the cinema.
