The article reports that movie thespian Hilary Duff and CBS Inc. have parted ways after Duff's comedy vehicle did not move forward. Producers Nina Wass and Gene Stein had been developing a script for Duff, but Duff ultimately didn't approve the script. CBS spokesman said that although this project did not work out, they were hoping to be in business with her in future. Move surprised some at the time, given CBS' older audience and Duff's younger following.
