ABSTRACT
The article presents developments related to home textile industries as of March 26, 2004. The Home Depot Inc. has launched a home improvement online Gift Registry. Available at www.homedepot.com, it is designed for any number of gift-giving occasions, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and house warmings. Big Lots last week launched a $45 million television advertising campaign that will run nationwide through December. Featuring comedian Jerry Van Dyke, the advertisements continue the retailer's existing "Convert Campaign."
