ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a novel device, developed by Tod Rickets of El Paso, Texas for generating electricity from passing vehicles. It consists of a set of cylinders with pistons embedded in the road with the upper face of the piston extending marginally above the surface. Vehicles passing over the pistons push them downwards causing fluid from a cavity beneath to flow towards a turbine or other power conversion units, which in turns generates the electricity.
