ABSTRACT
This article presents developments related to the financial services industry in the U.S. as of March 29, 2004. David Faber, vice chairman and managing director of investment banking, is retiring from Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. Since the early 1980s, Faber has been a member of the senior team that built up Merrill's investment banking franchise. Deutsche Bank AG has hired Bradley Dewey as a director responsible for equity research coverage of its multi-industry and electrical equipment sector. RBC Capital Markets hired David Weiner as a managing director in its global equity derivatives group. Weiner joins the firm from Lazard, where he was responsible for structured and derivative products as well as equity-linked origination.
