ABSTRACT
The article presents information on ways to development of science and art concepts. Materials used are clear plastic cups, food coloring, small plastic droppers, a paper towel, a coffee filter, drawing paper, and wax paper. Parents should invite the child to fill four plastic cups with water and encourage her to describe what she observes. To build vocabulary, explain that water is clear or transparent. Parents should invite her to add one drop of color to each cup of water and ask her to describe what happens to the water after the color is added.
