ABSTRACT
Propylene prices in the U.S. continue to surge due to firm demand and supply constraints around the U.S. Gulf Coast. Meanwhile, ethylene sellers are still seeking price increases, but buyers are beginning to question their own ability to pass on any further increases to their customers. Following the conclusion of March negotiations, which for the most part settled up 3 cents per pound, polymer-grade propylene is trading at a record high of 32.25 cents per pound. Chemical-grade now trades at 30.75 cents.
