ABSTRACT
The article profiles musician Jimmy Jam. Jimmy Jam started his career as a keyboardist with pop/R&B star Prince. After being axed, he along with bassist Terry Lewis, emerged as the most successful production team of the past three decades. In addition to seemingly inexhaustible creative supply that's resulted in more than 40 Number One singles and more than 100 albums surpassing Gold status, Jimmy Jam along with his partner, musician Terry Lewis also have sharp business minds. Presently, the entrepreneurs own their own record companies, publishing companies and private recording studios.
