ABSTRACT
Presents an accurate view of a typical Southeastern peanut farm. Crop mix due to diversity of region's agriculture which constitutes a typical Southeastern peanut farm; Establishment of Southeastern representative peanut farms as part of a project by the National Center for Peanut Competitiveness (NCPC) with the cooperation of Agricultural Food and Policy Center (AFPC); Analysis of the impacts of the potential adoption of alternative production technologies, environmental regulations, water usage and potential changes in peanut production; Importance of timely updating of representative farms to account for changes at the farm level since the passage of the 2002 farm bill.
