ABSTRACT
The article discusses five historic renovation trends to be considered by retailers to ensure that their design will preserve the historic character and charm of the building while serving the needs of their consumers. Among the renovation trends include the need to leverage the original design elements to restore the building's architecture, the use of novel materials as the key design element of the stores, and the combination of the old design with the new ones.
