ABSTRACT
LIGHT has been shed on the charity event that prevented Sir Ian Botham attending England's Twenty20 match against West Indies at Durham's Riverside Ground. An item on September 19 in this column stated Durham had put out a press release saying the club's chairman could not be at the game due to a prior commitment to a Beefy Foundation event, yet the occasion was not listed on the Foundation's website.
