ABSTRACT
¦KYLE SINCKLER'S determination to make an impression after being omitted from England's most recent training squad resulted in his seven-week ban for gouging, according to Harlequins director of rugby John Kingston. The entry-point sanction of a 12-week suspension was reduced on the grounds of Sinckler's remorse and Kingston is backing his controversial prop (above). 'There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that there was no intent,' said Kingston. 'I'm sure his desperation to achieve would have been heightened by the fact he wasn't in England's training squad last week.'
