Innovations in the wireless technology industry, as of March 2004, were discussed in this article. These products are described as battery- and power-management components which can be used by wireless technology product designers. The Ault company has introduced its medical external power supplies which can be used to reduce design-to-safety cycle. The Linear Technology company has introduced a synchronous direct current-direct current converter. The Maxim Integrate Products company has introduced a power-source selector which simplifies dual-battery operation. The Phihong company has introduced the 150-watt enclosed quad-output supply which can survive dips, brownouts and surges.
