BBC unveils its IT shortlist for £2bn contract

The British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) has announced the shortlist of bidders selected for the next round in the procurement process for its ten-year, £ 2 billion new technology services contract and the sale of its information technology subsidiary, BBC Technology. A spokesperson for the corporation says that training will be integral to installing the new technology. Among those shortlisted are Computer Sciences Corporation, Fujitsu, EDS, Capita, Accenture, Logica, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. The contract is expected to begin in September.
