ABSTRACT
The article presents views of the author on whether the present restriction laws concerning immigration in the U.S. be modified. He believes that present restrictions upon immigration are unnecessary and unwise. From a material standpoint this country needs to augment its labor supply. There is not enough labor to carry the work and there is no place from which labor can be recruited in sufficient magnitude except from European countries. They must have common labor and skilled labor. The civilization can not progress without it.
