ABSTRACT
The Internetworking devices manufacturer Netgear Inc.'s router/modem model DG824M is an easy-to-configure firewall that provides for inbound and outbound connection rules, the operation of which can be scheduled and logged. Unfortunately there is only one schedule which applies to both the firewall and keyword blocking. Other features include UPnP, Dynamic DNS, port forwarding by ranges and remote management. The router's detailed Weblog can be customized and sent to a SYSLOG server or by email hourly, daily, weekly or when the log is full.
