ABSTRACT
The article discusses about the U.S. foreign policy of isolationism. It will be recalled that the term isolationism has not been heard much for some time, not really since prior to World War II when those who wished to have nothing to do with foreign disputes were tagged as isolationists and became somewhat unpopular with the general public. The recent postwar era has likewise been out circulation-particularly during the past three years when the opposition, or Republican, party under the leadership of Senator Arthur Vandenberg of Michigan, joined the Democrats in supporting almost all of the administration's foreign policy.
