Outdated offices fail to meet 21st century needs

This article reports that according to the research from the Chartered Management Institute and the MWB Business Exchange, businesses in Great Britain are not doing enough to meet the demand for better offices and more flexible working arrangements for staff. Nearly four in ten of the 1,200 managers surveyed are concerned that their office does not make a good impression on clients and visitors. They also reported that office space is not being used efficiently, with 70 percent noticing that unused desks or offices at any one time. However, 82 percent of managers agree that companies will increasingly seek to reduce their property and office costs, which suggests that organizations need to think more carefully about the need to offer flexible working arrangements to staff.
