ABSTRACT
This article reports on how the Institute of Logistics and Transport will improve its ability to communicate with its members and for the members to communicate with the institute. The upgrade of the Membership Database Management System will allow members to view and amend personal data and preferences, as well as book and pay for events. The acquisition of a new Library and Information Management System will give members access to library information through the Web site and allow them to log questions and requests for information. To be able to deliver the benefit of these enhancements the Web site will undergo change. For the institute to reap the full benefit of this investment it needs a valid electronic mail address for every member who has one.
