ABSTRACT
This article presents the results of bus passenger satisfaction survey which were published in the 2001 edition of the Bus Quality Indicators Bulletin. The average satisfaction rating for the bus journey just completed was 79 percent in England, 82 percent in England outside London and 74 percent in London. The highest satisfaction rating in London was for on-bus safety and security. Outside London, that aspect also scored highly, but the highest rating was an average of 89 percent for bus crew behavior. For England as a whole these two aspects of the bus journey had an average satisfaction rating of 87 percent. Satisfaction with information at the bus stop averaged 60 percent for England compared with 72 percent in London.
