ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the online conference which will be hosted by the Cranfield School of Management from November 12-23, 2001. The conference aims to take away a few of the stresses associated with a normal conference as well as cost implications. Just like the physical conference, the main delegate activity takes place in the conference hall. Here delegates have the chance to read, watch or listen to some 100 presentations about different aspects of the supply chain and logistics sector. The latest advances in automatic identification techniques, advice on setting a realistic strategic electronic business agenda, the challenges and opportunities presented by current market forces, are just some of the issues topping the agenda for the SupplyChainKnowledge2001 conference. The conference will provide an international forum for supply chain professionals, with papers from practitioners and academics based in Europe as well as the U.S. and other countries.
