ABSTRACT
Pitney Bowes has launched what it calls the next generation in postage meters for the liberalized post market. The networked platform will give users access via the Internet to valued added services as well as detailed information on mail usage. The new DM series uses PB's IntelliLink architecture to get online to services such as carriers' mail tracking, usage and cost analyses, postage refill, rates and software downloads, remote purchase of ad slogans and remote diagnostics. The system also allows users to access the different carriers and to monitor their performance.
