ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the Annual Awards for Excellence which will be given out by the Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2002. The awards are now open for nominations from individuals and organizations in Great britain that have achieved excellence in any of the eleven categories during the past year. Each award recognizes achievement and competence in specific areas of expertise and is recognized as a flagship in each specialism which encourages the highest standards and a professional approach to the practice of logistics and transport. This year's categories are the young manager of the year, freight transport, passenger transport, public planning of transport, storage and handling, information management, training and development, supply chain logistics, manufacturing logistics, environmental best practice, and the logistics and transport journalist of the year.
