ABSTRACT
This article presents information on two books related to medicine. The book "Bandolier's Little Book of Pain," by A. Moore, J. Edwards, J. Barden and H. McQuay is a convenient pocket size, yet its 450 pages are packed with useful, current information about analgesia, evidence-based practice and patient care. This is a practical book for front-line care. It promotes meaningful, measurable outcomes, while acknowledging the importance of quality of life, convenience and compliance. Another book "Systematic Reviews to Support Evidence-Based Medicine: How to Review and Apply Findings of Healthcare Research," by K.S. Khan, R. Kunz, J. Kleijnen and G. Antes attempts to guide the reader through the process of appraising and conducting a systematic review of the literature.
