ABSTRACT
InteractiveCorp CEO Barry Diller said that he has only had loose and superficial contacts over the future of his stake in Vivendi Universal Entertainment (VUE), but a resolution could come by midyear. He was speaking at the Smith Barney Citigroup Entertainment, Media and Telecommunications Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Diller also reiterated previous comments that with General Electric's NBC unit set to merge with VUE by midyear, he felt that his stake was "in better hands now" than in the past and that he would be just as happy to retain it.
