Trade Publication
The author discusses considerations on the use of thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) for steam systems, which he discussed in his 19992 book "The Lost Art of Steam Heating." Topics include the two parts of a TRV, its use to prevent overheating, and tips from Paul Shay of A Real Good Plumber in New York City on steam heating system and TRV applications. Also discussed is the importance of having a correct boiler size, venting and proper fiberglass insulation in steam heating.
