ABSTRACT
Attention is increasingly shifting towards how electronic business will be delivered and fulfilled as businesses and customers are brought together through electronic trading. The issues raised by this shift in emphasis towards the supply chain will be explored by the Center for Exploitation of Science and Technology in an industry-wide collaboration. The center has dubbed this topic 'The E-Supply-Chain, and aims to help organizations understand the processes involved in delivering physical and electronic goods and services to customers, and how the communication and transfer of information relating to these activities links into the processes. many online retailers may appreciate that it is all well and good to attract customers to a Web site and capture their requirements, but serious difficulties can arise when using the existing supply chain infrastructure to fulfill the order.
