ABSTRACT
There was a shooting at New York City's Triomphe restaurant and bar at the Iroquois Hotel. No gunplay, but rather shooting scenes for HBO's political thriller, "K Street." Actor George Clooney also put in an appearance at the bar, and all that excitement inspired Triomphe's staff. Now Triomphe is featuring a signature K Street Cocktail, which, suitably, is concocted with a "secret" ingredient. Basically, says general manager Paul Celnik, the K Street Cocktail is "a Kir Martini-with a secret ingredient that befits the mysterious nature of the HBO show." The recipe is seven parts gin, two parts extradry vermouth, and one part creme de cassis-and, of course, a mysterious substance known only to Triomphe's bartender.
