The article examines the ethical implications of the immigration policy of the U.S. as of January 2012. Topics include the U.S. Naturalization Act of 1790, the history of the country's immigration policy, and the disappearance of undocumented immigrants and its economic impact. Also discussed are the purpose of political authority, racist practices, and rational protectionism.
