ABSTRACT
Reports that director Peter Jackson and his film "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King," led the race at the Broadcast Film Critics Association's 9th annual Critics' Choice Awards held on January 10, 2004. Awards won by the third part of the trilogy including best picture, acting ensemble, director and composer; Jackson's promise during his acceptance speech that the director's cut of the film will be longer; Other films which won various awards including "Mystic River," "Finding Nemo" and "Master and Commander".
