ABSTRACT
A research, conducted in 2001 by the transport training provider KITS, has revealed that 85 percent of truck drivers in Great Britain would be interested in extra learning through a computer or over the Internet. The company has been carrying out the research at the 'truck stp training' sessions at the Welcome Break Hopwood services at the Junction two of the M42 near Redditch. The sessions offer truck drivers the chance to do a computer course on the company mobile training facility which is fully equipped with the very latest in modern technology. Visitors to the unit are also asked to complete a short questionnaire to determine how interested they would be in undertaking further training, particularly over the Internet.
