ABSTRACT
A five-day trip which the winners of the 2001 National Youth Competition of the Institute of Logistics and Transport took around Lille, Ashford/Longport and London was reported in this article. The three winners, out of the six, who could join the trip were Kim Fenwick, Gemma Bridge and Claire Munday. They first took the Eurostar train at the Waterloo station that took them to Lille, France. They met with Pierre Fauvergue of the SNCF Lille at the Lille Flanders station. Pierre Fauvergue took the group to the control room of the Eurostar, TGV and the Regional Railway. They returned to the Waterloo station, the next day, in order to meet Michelle Bailey, the Paddington Station manager. Then the group proceeded to visit the London Transport Museum. The last morning of the tour was a tour of London, England through a road and river adventure.
