ABSTRACT
This article reports on the summer golf tournament for members of the Golf Society of the Institute of Logistics and Transport which was held at the Fritford Health Golf Club in 2001. The event was sponsored by the Symbol Technology company and supported by 33 players. The summer trophy was won by Paul Symes with a score of 42 points, from Richard Pineo with 39, Mike Etheridge, 36, and John Smith, 35. The guest prize was won by Ken Bennison with 35 points from Ivan Couchman, 32. Special prizes were won by Mike Etheridge, Ken Bennison, Nick Hill and John Smith. Plans for the golfers' visit to France in September are progressing well and all members of the tour are looking forward to playing the Hardelot, Le Touquet and Belle Dunes courses.
