ABSTRACT
A profile on Wulston Alderman, logistics planner for the BMW Group, is presented in this article. He is involved in logistics planning activities through supply chain planning for all components and the actual physical logistics structure. He believes that the best thing about his job is that his role is very much a multi-function/cultural one. He has been active in the logistics and transport profession since 1994, primarily in the automotive sector. His decision to enter the automotive sector was unintentional. A position for a German-speaking production manager with a second-tier supplier was available and he applied for it. He had studied German while in the army and then carried on in adult education over a period of nine years.
