ABSTRACT
The results of the 1999 online survey conducted by the supply chain and logistics recruitment specialists, The BJD Group, suggests that management salaries, could be plummeting. The group has been conducting salary surveys for the last five years and this is the first occasion to suggest that salaries have reduced in all areas and at all levels. The explanations could be in the economic slowdown, a maturing profession and management discipline, and a glut of good managers versus the shortages previously experienced. If the facts are to be believed then logistics directors' salaries have declined the most, by 15,864 pounds a year, while supply chain directors are just 2,014 worse off.
