ABSTRACT
Information on the past activities and future plans of the Special Interest (SIG) groups of the Institute of Logistics and Transport are presented. The Passenger Transport SIG held a number of visits in summer and held a seminar at the University of Leeds in October. The Transport Planning Group launched its newsletter and aims to distribute this three times a year. The Environment SIG held its fourth Annual Conference in March 2000 and is currently developing its page for the Web site of the institute. The Supply Chain Inventory Management SIG has continued to hold meetings on electronic commerce following two successful breakfast meetings earlier this year. The Freight Transport SIG has made a number of visits and recently met members of the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions of Great Britain.
