The results of a survey conducted by researchers at the Institute of Logistics and Transport among members of the institute are presented. The group contacted a sample of members by telephone to ask them about their reasons for joining the Institute, their awareness of and satisfaction with the services provided by the institute and their thoughts on the ways the institute could be improved. Most respondents said that they joined the institute to gain, or improve, their knowledge of logistics and/or transport, with furthering their careers being the second most popular reason for joining. As over 80 percent said that membership is directly relevant to their careers, the institute is clearly satisfying those needs.
