ABSTRACT
How members of the Institute of Logistics and Transport can contribute to the planning of changes that will be implemented to the structure of the institute is the main focus of this article. The institute's council gave its final decision in favor of detailed proposals for a new organization. The proposed faculties and their forums, together with the regions and their local groups, provide a strong framework for the institute's activities. Over 470 members have, in one way or another, contributed directly to the process. The decision on the way ahead now lies with the membership. Members will find full details of the council's proposals in an envelope included in the March 2002 edition of the periodical "Logistics and Transport Focus." Later in march voting members will be receiving ballot papers. This will give members the opportunity to vote and make their point of view count at the extraordinary general meeting on April 25, 2002, at which a decision will be taken.
