This article provides information on the 1999-2000 National Youth Competition of the Institute of Logistics and Transport. This year the institute is doing things a little differently by sending participants and schools a certificate. It is hoped that this will produce positive feedback for next year's competition. At the recent branch chairmen's workshop there was much interest raised in this yearly event. The general feedback was that it was worthwhile, but changes could be made. This is an opportunity for education training officers and other volunteer judges to make a difference to future competitions. The institute is committed to the competition as an important and rewarding event which its needs to nurture.
