ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the National Youth Competition of the Institute of Logistics and Transport. The competition is designed to give secondary students in Great Britain an insight into the worlds of transportation and logistics, and to foster an enthusiasm for the sectors that will continue into their latter life. For the 1999/2000 competition year nearly 900 entries have been received. The competition operates at the branch and national levels. A local winner and runner-up are selected for each of the three age groups, under 14, 14-16 and 16-18. In addition, branches are expected to organize prizes locally. National winners and their teachers will be presented at an awards luncheon at a hotel in London, England in late June 2000.
