ABSTRACT
This article reports on the last two evening events of the 1999-2000 program of the Metropolitan branch of the Institute of Logistics. In April 2000, the Kinnock Lecture was presented by Brian Souter, chairman of the Stagecoach Holdings company. He presented an extremely honest assessment of the company's performance and gave an overview of many business issues that he has had to address. The most recent event was the Special Interest Group (SIG) Forum. At this event, members had the benefit of hearing from several SIGs about their areas of activity. It gives an opportunity for members to assess which SIG represented their area of interest.
