ABSTRACT
This article reports that the United Kingdom Warehousing Association has presented its second annual Awards for Warehousing in 2001. For this year's awards, there were increased levels of interest, entries and sponsorship over the debut awards of last year. The Trainer of the Year award was won by Phillip Walton of the Bibby Distribution's Walkden depot. The Technology and Innovation Award went to the Jungheinrich company. The Best New Member award was won by the CPD Logistics company. The Warehouse Person of the Year award went to Andrew Williams of the Taylor Barnard company. The Chairman's Award was won by the Pannell family for their contribution to the haulage, transport and warehousing sectors over the past 100 years.
