ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the main criteria for Warehouse Management System (WMS) software and what should the customer be looking for. Customers are interested in multi-channel order management so that they can handle orders for retailers, retailers and end-users in all their variations using one application deployed either in one site or a whole series. Customers in industries such as the pharmaceutical sector, where inventory accuracy is paramount, also require their WMS to support advanced track and trace functionality. Visibility across multiple sites is also paramount as the need for one virtual warehouse grows. Customers should consider functionality, Internet accessibility and implementation speed.
