ABSTRACT
This article reports that what is believed to be Europe's largest Web portal of used materials handling equipment has, in 2001, had a launching in Great Britain. Termed Supralift, it is at the Web site WWW.supralift.com. The site caters for those looking for used forklift trucks and gives access to trucks across Europe. It can be used by buyers looking for a truck and dealers in the materials handling sector. The Germany-based organization Supralift, is a standalone organization formed with 50 percent capital from the Linde company and 50 percent from the Jungheinrich company, but is eager to stress that other manufacturers and companies are more than welcome to take an equity stake. The Web site grades the products on a star rating for quality and allows for either advertised price or auction buying and selling.
